plasma tv
Terina C asked:

We have a 52″ plasma TV and are thinking about mounting it over our fireplace. We are concerned that the woodburning fireplace may cause too much heat and cause damage to the TV. Has anyone else done this? Have you had any problems? What else do we need to consider in making this decision? Thanks!

Yes you can do it but you might not like the results after.

ALL TV’S COME WITH A WARNING NOT TO PUT IT NEAR A HEAT SOURCE. EVEN WITH OUT THAT, IT DOESN’T SOUND LIKE A GOOD IDEA.
ANOTHER THING TO CONSIDER IS THE BEST VIEWING POSITION IS EYE LEVEL. UNLESS YOU PLAN ON STANDING IN FRONT OF YOUR FIREPLACE TO WATCH IT, YOUR GONNA END UP WITH A CRICK IN YOU NECK!

The fireplace will help.
The heat dont convince you perhaps the heat dont convince you perhaps the heat dont convince.
