I am trying to connect from component (RGB) to HDMI, I wonder if this kind of cable will do the trick. Alternativaly, What about the upscaling dvd recorders?
Yes, I thought about buying a new one, but since they don t record, yet, I have been reluctant. I dont want to finish buying too many appliances and stock them over in a room. Still, with this cable, will I improve dramatically my curernt definition?

I need to connect my computer to my 42″ plasma television through an LG combination dvd receiver that is connected to the TV.

The receiver has an orange coax in, optical in, s video out, and a set of component outs.

The TV has an audio pc in, and 15 pin pc input, an optical and digital audio out.

My computer has digital audio in and out, a set of component in and s-video, and a tv (cable style) in and out.

What sort of connector do I need to buy?

Also when i have my laptop hooked up to the TV, i have a jack going from the headphone port on my laptop and a red and white connection going into the corresponding RGB ports at the back of the TV, but the TV still wont play the sound, any idea why? I have a macbook btw.

Thanks

Hi,
I just bought a 50″ Plasma TV and I think it will look alot better on my apartment wall.
Does the wall type matters?
What equipments do I need, because my friend told me that their is some kind of mount that I need.
Do you think I should bring a handy man instead?!!!

The plasma is a 61″ pioneer elite. Specifically, I am trying to decide whether to install flush mounted artisan speakers, or speakers in the ceiling. Which of the two would provide better sound? If ceiling speakers are the answer, which brand and size? I will be sitting approximately 16 feet from the TV. Thanks.

I just bought a new Plasma TV. On the box it says to transport the TV in a vertical way. Now, in order to install it and attach the stand on the underside of the TV I need to lay it flat, just for a few seconds. Is this OK, or should this be avoided at all cost? I don’t want to ruin my TV even before it’s installed. Any ideas anyone?

I bought my husband a 42″plasma flat screen for Christmas. We are thinking about adding a wireless speaker system to enhance the sound. It is in an average size living room – so we don’t want to be “blasted” by sound – just good sound for movies etc. We also don’t want to spend more than $250. Any recommendations?

Should I go new or used? What about e-bay or Craigs list? I’ve heard they were pretty good but it has scam potential sometimes. I don’t want to spend too much but I want a nice t.v. for my b-day.
