We’re looking at buying a new TV and we deffinitly want a flat screen. However, all the flat screens that we’ve looked at are HDTV. We’re not planning on getting HDTV and we just have plain cable, so wouldn’t it be a waste of money to buy an HDTV if we don’t even plan on getting HD? Or when you buy an HDTV does it automatically just have high definition? Ah, someone help me out here! I don’t get it!
ugh, I knew I was going to get an answer like that. No, I’m sure I DON”T want HDTV, my cable is included in my rent right now and if we switch to anything else we’ll have to continue to pay the same amount of rent but also pay the seperate cable bill.
Wow, confusing!! So are you saying that in a couple years we’re all going to be forced to get HDTV??

He said that we “could,” but it would shift the gases turning the screen green and at the same time void the warranty. I need to replace my 50″ plasma TV that was stolen from my house. Originally I paid about $3150 at Sears plus tax and delivery. I now see that if I order it online, I can get it for about $2500. But I’m not sure if I trust having it shipped to my house, because I know how fragile the plasma screens are. Of course, I have no idea how Sears treated the TV I bought as it was being delivered (and the delivery guys were kind of sleazy anyway).

So, has anyone out there successfully ordered a big screen plasma TV online, and had it shipped to your house, and received it with no problems and no damage? If so, where did you buy it and how was it shipped? Thanks in advance.
