I own a vizio 32″ lcd, and it looks great, especially when watching HD. At that price its a great buy. I know a few people that own vizio’s, and they always have positive things to say about it. If you place it next to a samsung or sony of the same size, the sony or samsung will probably look a little better, but will cost $100s more, only worth it if you have that much money to throw around. When you’re watching it at home, you’re not gonna have 2 or 3 tvs right next to it to compare, so the difference is really negligible. And plasma’s generally look better than lcd’s too. Just be careful with burn-in on the plasma. If you break the tv in first (about 100hrs of non-frozen image watching) you should be fine.
