I have a panasonic plasma tv that I purchased about two years ago.

Just the other day the sound began to fade. You can still hear it (with the volume turned all the way up), but there is obviously something wrong.

It goes from very quiet to blaring loud without anyone touching the volume button.

This has progressively gotten worse. Any thoughts on what it may be or how I fix it would certainly be appreciated.

How long should a plasma tv last me before I see any sort of burn or missing pixel? Was it a good choice to buy a plasma?

I just bought a Panasonic Plasma TV from Ultimate Electronics. It was an open box value, meaning it had been on display in the store for several months, turned on. While it was in the store, it was contantly running a DVD, meaning it had the black bars on top and bottom for the wider aspect ratio. When I turn the whole thing on now, there are lines where the black bars ended. I’m pretty sure this is typical “burn in” for plasma, but I’d like to know if it could be temporary. Does anyone have any tips on how to remove these faint, but visible lines?

I have a 50″ Panasonic Plasma TV. I built a fire in my house and the fireplace is probably 4 feet away from the TV. The opening is pointing away from the TV so the heat isn’t directly hitting the TV. I put my hand on the TV after the fire had been going for approx 45 min and there was no heat change at all. I’m just wondering if there are any known harmfull effects associated with building a fire around the plasma. Thanks for any help.

I have two monitors hooked to my computer. I just bought a 42″ panasonic plasma tv and would like to be able to use my windows media center on the tv.

I ran a s-video from the computer to the tv and that didn’t do it. I’ve been in setup (windows media center). I’ve been in the “personalize” on my desktop.

Any ideas other than buying an extender?
