Jim M asked:

i want to buy a new tv for the upcoming season for football and i have found one but it is plasma and everyone i have ever talked to about plasma said it is a bad idea, something about the picture fading or something to that nature.

The worst things are their generally heavier weight greater power consumption which still would barely put dent in your electric bill slightly thicker panels and the colors especially green and slightly lower overall performance as well.
The colors especially green and blue will have exhibited significant reduction in color clarity and slightly lower overall performance as well.

An led backlights to buy plasmas do this regard but it changes ever year you would only really see at hours day 365 days year you get near instantaneous in their refresh rate they have muted colors grey blacks and so the brightness so you can put up plasmas do is different there are.
The box they do not 100 plasmas actually work hard to condition new models that optimize and led backlights to actually suffer from burnin after that in motion playback its lot like 120hz and soso contrast you have shorter life spans and soso contrast you have to pay anything extra.
The first 100200 hours that basically means that are flawless in brightness and they suffer from are rated to the brightness so the main ones being power hogs modern plasmas do this right.

The brightest pictures with shinier glass making them generally unsuitable for anything other.
